Rajasthan With Taj Mahal Tour

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Check in hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight stay at Delhi.


Day 02 : Delhi / Agra
Morning after breakfast drive to Agra. Arrive Agra and check-in at hotel. later city sightseeing tour visiting the world famous Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the pearl mosque and the hall of public and private audience. Overnight stay at Agra. |

Day 03 : Agra / Bharatpur
Morning, after breakfast drive to Bharatpur. Enroute visiting  Fatehpur Sikri -a perfectly preserved red sandstone "ghost town" which was the estranged capital of mughal emperor Akbar, built in 1569 and deserted when its water supply failed. Arrive Bharatpur and check-in at hotel. Later visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary on rickshaws. The most Spectacular water- bird Sanctuary features nesting indigenous water- birds and migratory birds. From October till December, the indigenous water- birds nest around the lake, from December on the migratory Geese, Duck and Cranes are the main feature of the bird sanctuary. Overnight stay at Bharatpu r.

Day 04 : Bharatpur / Jaipur
Morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur & check-in at hotel. day at  leisure. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 05 : Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort. Elephant ride ascent to the fort.

AMBER FORT PALACE :
Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it's ultimate expression.

CITY PALACE :
A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

JANTAR MANTAR :
This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use.

HAWA MAHAL :
The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 06 : Jaipur / Deogarh
Morning after breakfast drive to Deogarh. Arrive Deogarh & transfer to hotel. Enjoy the serenity and tranquility of Deogarh Mahal built in 17th Century in the country side of Rajsamand, visit Rajsamand lake known for its migratory birds. Overnight stay in Deogarh.

Day 07 : Deogarh / Udaipur
Morning drive to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur & check-in at hotel. Later city sightseeing tour of Udaipur. The city is built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. Visit the City Palace museum, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir ( Folk art museum) and the Pratap Memorial the Jagdish temple and Sahelion Ki Bari ( Queen's resort for their friends). Evening boat ride at lake. Day 08 : Udaipur / Luni
Morning drive to Luni. Arrive Luni & check in at hotel Fort Chanwa 35 Kms away from Jodhpur. Belonging to Maharaja Dilip Singh, the youngest son of Maharaja Umaid Sing Ji of Jodhpur. It is an imposing and well maintained structure over a hundred years old built of famous red sand stone of Jodhpur and ornately carved lattice work, friezes and intricate jharokhas. Its traditional gates lead to a complex of courtyards, towers, water wheels stables, passages and unexpected stairways leading to secret pavilions and panoramic terraces.

The small village is home to many artisans who work with metal, clay or wood, keeping alive the skills passed down over the centuries by their ancestor. The noise and bustle of the village settles down by evening and all is quite as peace descends on the desert. Day 09 : Luni / Khimsar
Morning drive to Khimsar. Arrive Khimsar & check in at hotel. Khimsar is steeped in history- founded 2500 years ago by the Jain Saint Mahaveer, this is the starting point of the great Indian Desert tours. The founder of the castle, which was built in mid 15th century was Prince Karamsi, son of Jodhpur and very close to other places of interest like Osian and Nagaur. DAY 10 : Khimsar / Mandawa (Alsisar)
After breakfast drive to Alsisar and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon walking tour of the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of the country. DAY 12 : Delhi
Morning after breakfast drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to Delhi International Airport for catch the flight to onward journey.
