Heritage Tour Of Rajasthan


Day 01: Jaipur
Arrive Jaipur, meet & assistance at the airport & later transfer to the hotel. Check in at hotel & later proceed for excursion to Amber Fort. Elephant ride ascent to the fort.

AMBER FORT PALACE :

Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it's ultimate expression.
Continue sight-seeing.

CITY PALACE :

A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

JANTAR MANTAR :

This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use.

HAWA MAHAL :

The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-story structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women. Night stay in Jaipur.

Day 02 : Jaipur - Pushkar - Jojawar

Morning arive to Jorawer enroute visiting Pushkar and see a breath taking view of the Ghats & the people taking also visit the temple of Lord Brahma creator of the world the only temple in Pushkar wonder around the lively market of Pushkar & see the beautiful article on display. Later proceed for Jojawer. Arrive Jojawer & check in at hotel. Night Stay in Jojawer.

Day 03: Jojawar - Kumbalgarh

Morning breakfast & drive to Khumbalgarh. Arrive Khumbalgarh,check in at hotel & later proceed for sightseeing of Khumbalgarh visiting Khumbalgarh fort situated atop aravali ranges that has yet been invincible due to its vicious topography & houses a number of temples, places, gardens & water storage facilities. Also visit the sanctuary & villages of bhills nearby which are known for its skills in using bow & arrow. Back to the hotel. Night Stay in Khumbalgarh.

Day 04: Kumbalgarh - Udaipur

Morning arive to Udaipur.Enroute visit Eklingji & Nagda. The little village of the Eklingji with a number of ancient temples. The Shiva Temple in the village was originally built in 734 AD, although its present from dates from the rule of Maharana Raimal, between 1473 AD, and 1509 AD the walled complex includes an eiaborately pillared hall under a large pyramidal roof and features a four faced Shiva image of black marble. At Nagda, 4km before Eklingji, are old temples. The Jail temple of Adjudji is essentially ruined, but its architecture is quiet intresting. The nearby Sas Bahu, or mother and Daughter- in- low Temple is worth visiting.Later drive to Udaipur.Arrive Udaipur and check-in at hotel. Evening boat ride on lake Pichola, back to the hotel. Night Stay in Udaipur.

Day 05 : Udaipur

Morning proceed for city sightseeing of Udaipur.The city is built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. Visit the City Palace museum, the Jagdish temple, Shaelion Ki Bari (Queen’s resort for their friends) Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art Museum) and the Pratap Memorial. Rest of the day at leisure. Night Stay in Udaipur.

Day 06 : Udaipur - Ranakpur - Ghanerao

Morning arive to Ghanerao. Enroute visiting World Famous Ranakpur Jain Temple- The exceptionally beautiful Ranakpur complex, is one of the largest and most important Jain temples in India. The main temple is the Chaumukha Temple, or Four faced Temple, dedicated to Adhinath. built in 1439, this huge, superbly crafted and well-kept marble temple has 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, no two alike. One km from the main complex is the Amba Mata Temple Arrive Ghanerao, check in at hotel & later proceed for sightseeing of Ghanerao that has plenty of Hindu temples. Most amazing is the temple of Gajanand with a life- size statue o the goddesses Riddhi & Siddhi. Back to the hotel. Night Stay in Ghanerao.

Day 07 : Ghanerao - Jodhpur - Khimsar
Morning arive to Jodhpur. Arrive Jodhpur & proceed for sightseeing tour of Jodhpur, visiting Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada & Umaid Bhawan palace. Later proceed for Khimsar. Arrive Khimsar & transfer to the Khimsar fort. Spend evening with exploring the fort & the surrounding semi-desert of Khimsar. Night Stay in Khimsar.

Day 08 : Khimsar - Nagaur - Bikaner

Morning arive to Bikaner visiting enroute Visit the Nagaur fort- this magnificent fort houses a number of places, temples, mosques gardens & fountains. Also visit the Tarkeen Dargah – a very scared place for the Sufis. Later afternoon proceed for Bikaner. Arrive Bikaner & check in at hotel. Night Stay in Bikaner. Day

Day 09 : Bikaner - Mandawa

Morning breakfast & check-out hotel, proceed for bikaner sightseeing. Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. But long before this, the city was trade center on the caravan routes from Africa and West Asia. Bikaner’s dominant features are rippling sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed by a 7 Kms wall, which can be entered from 5 gate. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. Also visit Lallgarh Palace, the museum. Later after arive to Mandawa. Arrive Mandawa & check in at hotel. Later visit Mandawa, founded 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the home of his descendants has beautiful frescoes, Havelis and mansions. Mandawa castle one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now a hotel and house of collection of armories, costumes of ancestors, canons from 1820 ancient coins, numismatic collection and many other interesting items, preserved in a museum. Night Stay in Mandawa.

Day 10 : Mandawa - Delhi

Morning check out from hotel & drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward journey, back to the home.
